A Reminder of Unity and Peace! Bennett Place is also known as Bennett farm. This historical landmark gives access to guests its 30.5 acre land area with many exciting activities that can be done within the premises. This place was once an area where the largest Confederate soldiers surrendered during the American Civil War which ended in 1865. To preserve the area a Unity monument was built in 1923 to commemorate the event.
The place is open to the public where guests can enjoy historic structures, gift shop, Monuments and outdoor exhibits, nature trails and picnic areas. Guided and self-guided tours can be arranged by guests and will usually take an hour. For visitors with limited time, they can take a self-guided tour. The place provides parking for the handicapped and accessibility throughout the visitor’s center.
