Big athletes-Leaders in Life The UNC Asheville Bulldogs are the athletic teams of the University of North Carolina at Asheville, NC. They are a member of the Big South Conference and they participate in Division I of the NCAA. UNCA fields varsity teams in twelve sports, 6 for women and 6 for men. Although their athletic program has one of the smallest budgets in NCAA Division I, it has done big athletics as well as leaders in life.
In 1984, the UNC Asheville women's basketball team won the NAIA national championship. Men's Sports: Baseball, Soccer, Track and Field, Basketball, Cross Country, Tennis. Women's Sports: Soccer, Track and Field, Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, Cross Country.
