From Old Grocery to Hip Lounge
Before becoming one of the best-loved bars in Wilmington, NC, the Satellite Bar and Lounge used to be a neglected grocery building. Since owners renovated the space into a hip spot for folks to hang out and opened its doors in 2009, its popularity in the area and beyond has become unstoppable. If you are planning to visit North Carolina for the weekend, remember to include this lounge on your list for a fun night with your family or friends. Yes, you can bring the kids and the dogs, too!
The Satellite Bar and Lounge offers a fine list of both bottled and on-tap beers plus a full bar of wines and spirits. They also have live music on weekends and free movie screening out back.
