About the University of NC The University of NC Academic Support Program helps student-athletes in exploring their abilities and interests, enjoying a broad educational experience, as well as reaching their academic goals.
The program takes place in the Loudermilk Center for Excellence that opened in 2011 and serves all UNC's nearly 800 student-athletes of all 28 varsity sports. The Academic Support Center provides advanced computer technology, office space, classrooms for teaching and tutoring, a writing lab and reading rooms. The University's mission is to develop relationships and provide services that support University of North Carolina student-athletes Building Character, Advancing toward graduation and Developing leadership.
